Find a calendar's address
Copy the iCal address from Google Calendar, Outlook or iCloud, and then paste it into Nifty.
On this page
To add a calendar to Nifty, you need its iCal address. It's a link that ends in .ics or starts with webcal://.
Copy it from your calendar service, and then paste it into Calendar address in Settings → Calendars → New
calendar. See Add a calendar.
Anyone who has a calendar's address can read its events. Keep it private, and paste it only into Nifty.
Google Calendar
- Open Google Calendar in a browser.
- Choose Settings.
- Under Settings for my calendars, choose the calendar.
- Choose Integrate calendar.
- Copy the Secret address in iCal format.
If you use Google Calendar through work or school, the secret address might be missing, because the account's administrator can turn it off.
Outlook
- Open Outlook on the web.
- Choose Settings → Calendar → Shared calendars.
- Under Publish a calendar, choose the calendar.
- Choose Can view all details, and then choose Publish.
- Copy the ICS link.
On a work or school account, Publish a calendar might be missing, because the administrator can turn it off.
iCloud
- Sign in at
icloud.com, and then open Calendar. - Choose the share button beside the calendar.
- Turn on Public Calendar.
- Choose Copy Link.
You can also do this in the Calendar app. On a Mac, Control-click the calendar, choose Share Calendar… and select Public Calendar. On an iPhone or iPad, choose Calendars, choose ⓘ beside the calendar, turn on Public Calendar and then choose Share Link….
To stop sharing the calendar, turn off Public Calendar. Nifty then can't read it either.
